This Saturday 20th of June at 2:45pm we’ll do a capoeira show for a fund-raising event nearby Science and Technology Museum.

Zhanjiabanng Originality Street: Entrance 1 – Dong Xiu Road and Jin Yan Road; Entrance 2 - Jin Xiu Road and Jin Yan Road 

5 Minutes from Line 2 Metro Shanghai Science and Technology Museum Station Exit 6

It will be for kids, similar to the show that we did last year at Pinnacle’s Huashan.

Now the event should be bigger so we need to be as many as possible! after the show we’ll have our usual class at 5pm.

This Thursday our gym will be closed for the holidays so on Wednesday 27th there will be open class and massive roda.

On Friday 29th afternoon 4:00pm if the weather is nice we will have special class and roda in Zhongshan Park on the grass. Saturday usual class in the gym.

Opa camaras!

Our friend Contra Mestre Espeto from Osaka will come to Shanghai on the 27th, 28th and 29th of March: it’s just three week from now!

It will be a full capoeira weekend with workshops on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Further details will be communicated soon.

Price for the workshop will be 300rmb.

Oi Camaras,

Starting from next week the schedule of the classes will change!
There will be an intermediate class on Wednesday starting at 20:15 in the other room of the same gym; Thursday will become beginner class.

New schedule:
Monday: 20:00-21:30 Intermediate class
Tuesday: 20:00-21:30 Beginner class
Wednesday: 20:15:21:45 Intermediate class
Thursday: 20:00-21:30 Beginner class
Saturday: 17:00-19:15 Open class

Only Wednesday class will be held in the other room with the wooden floor.

Again, everyone is invited to come to all the classes but beginners should give the priority to beginner classes; the ones with more than one year of capoeira should give the priority to intermediate classes.

Our friend and camara Kawasaki “Corre Atras” will leave Shanghai on the 20th of January.

So there will be a big farewell roda on Saturday 17th, followed by a party/dinner at Japanese Restaurant “Hewei” (all you can eat and drink), on Julu Lu by Maoming Nan Lu 20:45.

Saturday 13th of December a good friend of Capoeira Mandinga Shanghai, graduado Turista from Capoeira Brasil Barcelona, will come to our training and roda!

Everyone is invited to come wearing the white uniform and bringing the instruments.

Even if in China capoeira is still at its beginning, Shanghai is an international city and there are always capoeiristas visiting us from all over the world.

Join a class

Composed by a dynamic group of capoeira enthusiasts from all over the globe. Within our group there are different levels of capoeira, so beginners are always welcome, as well as everyone else! Classes are held weeknights and Saturday afternoon.

Performances

Batizado

On September 19th-21st, CMS successfully held China’s first Batizado. CMS is excited about the success of this event. We would like to thank the visiting Instrutors, Contra Mestres and Mestre Marcelo. Contratulations to all the Capoeiristas who were baptized and received their Cordao.
